If you want to taste seafood that comes fresh out of the sea, go and visit Bouzigues. A small village in Occitanie at the Lac de Thau , the largest seafood farm in the Mediterranean Sea. At the border you 'll find a number of small restaurants, most of them owned by oyster producers and their families. One of them is L 'Arseillere, where the daughter of the owner runs the restaurant. Very pleasant ambiance, basic furnishings and excellent sea food. If you are not an amateur of raw oysters, please try the huitres gratines . After you 've enjoyed a meal at this great place, have a stroll along the coastline and enjoy the scenery.
We ate lunch here on a lovely sunny day. The terrace is small but our table not at all cramped. The staff members were all friendly, helpful and efficient and the food was just wonderful. A special birthday café gourmand rounded off the meal with other diners singing Happy Birthday. The menu is very good value and the seafood fresh and delicious. We can’t fault l’Arseillère in any way.
This is very pretty and a lovely place to sit. The service was absolutely fantastic, run by a lovely and very friendly couple who are clearly very passionate about making the restaurant a lovely place to be and the food and decor reflect their fantastic taste. They deserve all the success, the service and food was absolutely wonderful and beautifully presented. We will be back!
A lovely restaurant in a beautiful location. The seafood is fresh, brought in by the owner that morning. He is also your waiter and thus VERY knowledgeable of the food, preparation, and wine paring. The cost was very reasonable for the quantity and quality of food served. Perfect wine paring was included in the “menu”.
