We traveled thru France from the Rhone area to Brittany and I decided to check this 1 star Michelin rated restaurant in Issoire. We were late for our lunch reservation but still on time before service ended, and frankly, we were given a bit of attitude. It is not a crime to be late, especially after 5 hours on the road... We sat on a charming terrasse overlooking a small river, and ordered from 2 different prix fixe menus, the E33 and the E59, both very satisfying. Nicely decorated , agreable atmosphere , nice terrace by river. Food in very nice theatral presentation . Very nice wine carte but expensive. Food is nice but much too expensive for the menu L. 89 euros for the variety of nimi tastings is overprices . The waiter who is pushing hard to order this menu ,a parisian style , and patience less...is not suitable for such establishment in small city. The cheese plate is a real high tech choice.

Exceptional even for a 1 star. The food is as excellent and menu affordable at 60€-ish. Dishes follow at good speed. Outside terrace is nice but view of neighbouring apartments is less cool. Wine is a bit pricey for what it is. Worth going but stick to standard menu, carafe of water and std wine and it's a winner.

A little expensive but a star pays, a delight all the dishes, an impeccable presentation, we come to explain what is in every dish that fresh. A choice of 3 breads. A discreet service. To be recommended without hesitation.
