I have known this place as a Thai French fusion restaurant that also serves sushi. I have not tried the sushi here yet. I mainly stick to the Thai part. I would like to try some of the French infused dishes but I have not gotten around to it. I do love theThai dishes that they make. The Pad Thai and deunken noodles are really good. The fried rices are really good as well. The lasttime I was there I got a for a mock duck in a ginger sauce which was really, really good. The mock duck was very tender and kindof duck like. Coming here for dinner is always a pleasure. The prices are very reasonable, and the Asian fusion cuisine, mostly Thai, is excellent and portions are generous. The wait staff are welcoming, helpful and friendly. A lot on the menu is marked as spicy, but still there is enough to choose from that's not spicy . They have beer and wine but the one complaint I have is that the beer is usually not as cold as it should be . On Saturday evenings after parking meters don't apply, there is plenty of on-street parking. It's a good place to go with friends and not have to contend with noise in having a conversation. The decor is simple and neat.
The best food in the area! We've been dining here for the three years we've lived in the city, and it has become our favorite restaurant. The Cajun shrimp appetizer is amazing, the curry puffers are a personal favorite, and the chicken skewers are always beautifully prepared. I often find myself craving the coconut pineapple fried rice and the drunken noodles, while my wife always orders the pad Thai, which is the best we've had in a long time. The service can be inconsistent—sometimes the check takes a while—but the staff is always incredibly friendly and welcoming. And don’t forget to try the Thai tea!
Delicious food, generous portions and friendly staff who like to be ready. All this and reasonable prices make Laverne the winner! The ambience is not unusual, but very pleasant, with beautiful background music that improves the culinary experience. Many menu choices, lots of sushi (beautiful and fresh) and an extensive selection of Thai dishes. Five stars safe!

The restaurant is nicely decorated and the lighting is perfect. They have a really good selection of food, which I can guarantee will all taste great. I came in a group of 3, so each of us ordered one dish. Despite that, the portion sizes are quite large, so we had to take some home. I'm looking forward to coming back for more XD
Awesome customer service. If there's a problem it's because a group of 20 people showed up with out a reservation. That's how awesome it is. Best Thai food in Great Neck. Better than Wild Ginger especially Pad Thai. I'm a big guy and sometimes it's too much for me.
