Dined here two weeks ago, was staying in the Best Western Anjou and looking for a place to eat nearby on a Monday night when most places according to trip advisor and yelp seemed to be closed. We walked down the street from the hotel and happened upon this restaurant. Menu outside the door looked promising so we went in. Very stylish decor and busy with a lot of local people, were promptly given menus and ordered from their discount evening menu (honestly can't remember if it was €30 or €35 euro) three course meal was gorgeous tasty and very well presented, both of us had lovely fresh fish mains, and luscious desserts and the owner/manageress initially shy/reserved was increasingly gracious...
We actually went here twice! The food is excellent not only in terms of quality but also in conception and execution. The food would actually not be unsurprising in a Michelin starred restaurant. I would say that this is the best restaurant in Angers it's understated in decoration and small, only 15 or so tables (possibly the 15 in the name? I would highly recommend this restaurant. And good value 2 gins, a bottle of wine and two dinners (3 courses for €101!
Ate here on the recommendation of the hotel in which we were staying. The couple who run it are wonderful. She runs front of house with a young girl and he is the chef. The service was impeccable and so was the food. Several people were turned away as the restaurant was full very quickly. Imaginative menu, but even my picky husband found things he really enjoyed. For the price it was truly amazing.
We arrived after seeing an opera at the Grand Theatre without a reservation in hand. We were seated promptly and were given the menus; We ordered a beer and a glass of rosé (later we ordered 50cl of Minuty rosé. We ordered both the menu. Everything was served nicely and on pre-heated plates (a plus for me! The bill came to 88 euros.
