Visiting from Philadelphia and this new restaurant was recommended by our hotel owner who has been here for decades. The new owner chef started 6 weeks ago. Our meals were absolutely terrific. Excellent terrine to start along with a complimentary amuse bouche. My wife had a terrific cod main dish which came with wonderful side dishes. I had a great poultry ballotine which came with terrific grilled vegetables and gnocchi. Finished with a great crepe brûlée. The restaurant atmosphere is quiet with good spacing between tables, and it has beautiful wood beams and decor. Clearly the best meal we have had on our trip. Highly recommended.
Le 4 restaurant is under new management and these are early days, both for the owners and the 2019 season just waking up from winter hibernation. Having enjoyed many delightful meals there is the past, we decided to try the new establishment on a sunny Friday evening in April. The welcome was warm, the format generally relaxed, the menu choice is concise and well-chosen. Overall, we were impressed both with the quality of the meal and the professionalism of the new owners. Excellent Pavé de Boeuf !
A real treat in the middle of nowhere. We just came out of lascaux caverns around 1pm on a monday and couldn't find anywhere open to eat. So we finally found this place who took us at almost 2pm. The dining room is quite charming with an old school huge fireplace. The building is beautiful. The staff highly professional and the food exquisite and rafined for such a decent price. Must go if in the area.
