a mixed experience. I felt like reading the reviews, I was going to have a very good night. But here it is. While the products are of quality, the cooking and the products are respected, but the realization of the dishes is too simple in view of the rates practiced at the slate, I expected to other things in the plate ... for the atmosphere, the setting is cozy and warm, the reception is cordial, on the other hand the boss and one of the servers speak very loud and make you enjoy their "problem of organisation" of setting by making it fall and then this impression of relationships, and of overrated atmosphere. we were warmly welcomed and invited by monsieur claude at the door, although we had no reservation. the personal is friendly, helpful and speak with need perfect English. the restaurant is comfortable and the service was excellent although it was busy. the abree and. the plate was very good, but the desert du jour was even better. we had the charentais white wine from lepontis, which was also good and very valuable. several local people recommended us bistro de claude and we are very glad that they did. we enjoyed our lunch so much that we made a reservation tomorrow for dinner.
much too expensive for quality and quantity. a eviter3 ridiculous small ravioli in the entrances, supposed to be with seafood, without taste. for the dishes a piece of ridiculous, good but ridiculous meat, fortunately the fruit salad was pretty and good. A beer at €5.This makes a meal at €40 is exaggerated.
We took French friends to this restaurant on their recommendation. I thought the food was nice not brilliant and very, very expensive. I've tasted much better for the money. Completely overpriced and does not meet the hype.
