Had an excellent Sunday lunch here; waited quite some time to order with no offer of an aperitif. We then waited ages for food to appear but it was a nice surprise to be brought an amuse Bouche after about half an hour! After another half hour our main courses arrived.....superb food. My husband had duck breast, a very large portion beautifully presented with ( unusually for France) a selection of vegetables. Noodles were good and generous. Enjoyed a pleasant meal here. Food was well cooked and nicely presented. The service was busy (hence slow) but that seems to go with the style of the place: enjoy a leisurely meal at a pace slightly slower then your digestive system. There is a "menu of the day" which is mid-ranged priced, served quicker than the menu, not too complicated and very good. We came here twice as we didn'#t book for Saturday night, a stupid mistake. We wnjoyed our meals both times, but were disppointed that the waiters didn't recognise us from the day before, especially as we had chatted with them. Not a major goran but we have experineced a 90 year old lady of the house going round every table and greeting old customers as well as the pizzeria we usally stop off at on our way down through Italy recognising us fom year to year, so expected too much.
