we stayed in a nearby airbnb and the owner recommended this restaurant for dinner on the first night. dinner was served quickly, at a reasonable price and was delicious. we returned to this place 5 times more during our one-week stay! It was our first stop every morning for coffee and pastry. our server was fluent in French, English and Spanish and took the time to explain each item on the menu. He prepared a special hot chocolate for our two teenage girls and helped them with their French. coffees for adults were strong and served with hot milk. We will soon leave the city light and return to Belgium... one last evening but we do not want to go to lose ourselves in the betting of tourist signs... decision taken, we will stay in the Balard district that we especially love. michel and corine, the patrons of the balard bistro recommends the buron, not far, good, reasonable prices... what more? newcomers to the neighborhood we went to dinner one evening at the buron and we did not regret it; the traditional decoration of bistrot (including the record for the towels of the accustomed) tells the place where you are located. there will not be "big kitchen" but very classic dishes, known and recognized recipes, without particular innovation; no surprise to wait on this side there, but the dishes are honest .un service pleasant, attentive and close without being familiar and disturbing .a neighborhood clientele that visibly comes there and returns .the biggest flat : there are many tables outside but they are on a narrow and rather noisy sidewalk .
We come regularly to lunch or dinner at the buron! never disappointed and always very well received! the good mood of the team is really appreciable, a good word, a smile and an unwavering efficiency! the good mood is transmitted to the whole room and you can simply exchange a few words with the customers, it's nice. It's not for nothing that we come back regularly. I visited this place for brunch. The waiter was so nice. He was friendly, not snob at all. I ordered the brunch. the croissant was delicious!!! It was slipped, stained, with a nice touch of dough in the center. If you have enough sleep, it will wake you. then the brunch plate came and everything was delicious - fresh fruit, smoked salmon, slightly rusty egg. And have I ever said that the service was excellent? I'll definitely go back. :)
the typical neighborhood makes you want to stop and lunch with friends.Very good service and friendly staff. fresh dishes offer simple dishes in generous portions. in a few words: happiness in business.
we eat quite often with a family in the buron and we are never disappointed: a simple and varied menu, and the dishes are very good. I recommend for a family meal or friends without a headache!
