Nothing special with the food. The nem of chèvre was acceptable, the salad served with it had too much dressing. The cassoulet had only a minute piece of duck. The pork was too dominant and too fat. No salad served with the cassoulet. The service was not professional, the waiters and waitresses chatting together or smoking instead of attending the customers... The wine (overpriced) was poured directly. Although sitting on the terrace, a a very strong smell of deep-frying oil was coming from the kitchen.
Arrived, without reservations, as a party of eleven including three unruly kids, a toddler and a big dog. We were welcomed without hesitation. The waiters quickly moved tables together, seated us and took our orders. Our dog was treated to a big bowl of water without asking.Our orders took a good 20-25 minutes to arrive, but it was lunch time and we were a large group, so can't really complain. Confit de canard was delicious.
Maybe I got their "B" Team. It seemed they had problems accommodating guests. I never rush at restaurants - ever; even when I dine alone. Yet it took 25 minutes after I was seated before I saw a person or a menu. Food and service was fine - meaning average. The "entrecôte" was thin and fatty. The setting was superb on a beautiful afternoon. It was packed.
I had the cassoulet and my partner the Salmon, both followed by a selection of cheeses. My cassoulet was lovely, and my partner said it was the best salmon she'd ever had. The cheeses were very nice, accompanied by warm bread. Service was prompt, and we were sat in very pleasant surroundings in their garden.

Great meal served by friendly staff in a timely manner. The 25 euro menu is great. The salmon starter was excellent as was the steak, perfectly cooked. The profiteroles came with almonds, but when my wife objected they swiftly replaced it with one without nuts. all in all a great night out.
We picked this restaurant after reading reviews on TA. We weren't disappointed. Friendly and attentive service. Tasty dishes. We both chose fish Dishes because it was a very warm evening. Others around us were praising the cassoulet.
Had dinner at this nice restaurant. The setting is lovelly. The outdoor terrace offer nice shade on a warm day. The service was good but not exceptional. We had the cassoulet that was really tasty and in large portions.
Le Chaudron is situated in The Cité, and offers a stunning terrace. Staff was friendly, prices were reasonable, and the food was quite good. Especially liked the chocolate cake for dessert.

We went there at Sunset. It was a really nice place. Excellent food, nice staff, great wine... We tried the traditional "Cassoulet", and as the waiter told me, it was a "must try":)
