Nice atmosphere but give the sweetbreads a miss. At €35 and cooked with almost no seasoning, they ere very bland and I left most of them. The truffade €19 was more tasty but still terribly basic, potatoes, garlic and cheese that I was staggered at the menu prices. I love sweetbreads and always order them when they are on the menu but was thoroughly unimpressed with the way the food was cooked at this restaurant, especially after reading so many great reviews and driving over 4 hours to get here. My partner had the scallops which were cooked the same way and were just about acceptable but not that enjoyable either. The local Auvergne reds were very good at about €25 a bottle. Pleasant decor, decorated for New Year's Eve. The menu, written on a chalkboard, offered plenty of choice and the chance to sample local cuisine. All dishes are served with a side of truffaude--a dish of potatoes, onions and melted cheese. We ordered scallops and sweetbreads and were disappointed with both the presentation and the bland, unimaginative preparation. When we mentioned this to the waitress, she offered hot sauce which was hardly an acceptable solution--especially given the price of the meals. Truffaude, the least expensive item on the menu, was probably the best. Overall, an underwhelming experience.

welcomed in the good mood of the opening, we tasted some specialties of the house: the bite-sized dirt and the grilled lamb 5h accompanied by the famous truffle. both turned out to be real delights without false notes. on the level of quantities we quickly understood why there is no need for card admissions. all this watered with an excellent red ancestor, and finished with one of the best babas rum ever tasted: I'll remember the counter for a long time!

Accueil sympathique. Spécialités auvergnates de qualité et en quantité dans les assiettes ! Même si on perd tous les ans contre l'ASM on revient avec plaisir. On a ramené de la truffade que l'on a pas pu finir grâce aux boîtes fournies par la maison à Paris. Merci au patron et son équipe. Book a table now

patron sympa, restaurant typique de spécialité auvergnate, une truffade qui est un régal jamais manger d'aussi bonne, un restaurant généreux , petit bémol sur le rapport qualité prix idéal pour découvrir les spécialités auvergnates en plus ouvert les dimanche et les jours fériés

Every now and again I eat meat but this occasion was not worth it. I had sausages with truffade, the sausages were ok but the truffade was unpleasantly fatty and tasteless. The local Pinot Noir wine was the saving grace but I will never eat here again

without pretension... welcome shipped because in the rush. To follow, a fake, dirty, squirting, squirrel-sauce. very good quality meat, excellent. Nothing to say. quality meals and pleasant staff. I recommend!! Book a table now

We came here for the salers and lord we were not disappointed! The ‘file de salers (poêlée) ' is extraordinary! We highly recommend it. A meat from heaven (to be enjoyed e.g. with a nice bordeaux).
