"I am starting the pilgrim walk and had one day in Le Puy. How pleased I was to have lunch in this fantastic restaurant. It is a bit tucked away out of the main tourist drag. Lots of locals there. The food was a taste delight and wonderful service. The lamb melted in your mouth and desert, strawberry soup, was wonderful. If you visit Le Puy be sure to sample a meal here. Super friendly service, amazing food and wine! We booked last minute so were on higher tables, but not an issue, super comfy too. The waitress came over to explain the menu: choice of 2 menus, either made up of starter, main, cheese and dessert or without dessert. You could choose from 3 starters and 3 mains, the cheese was a platter of 3 different regional cheeses with some jam, and there was a choice for the dessert on the black board. All was delicious! We only took white wine by the glass but there was nothing to say there, best wine we'd had by the glass in a long time! The prices are super decent too: 26 euro for the meal without dessert and 30 for the meal with. I believe there are ot...

We booked a table for Saturday evening after reading Tripadvisor reviews. Walking from the town centre to the restaurant (about 10 minutes from the car parks near the theatre), we wondered where we were going as it is not in the smartest or most historic part of town, but the restaurant itself is a delight. The welcome was warm, friendly and helpful. Madame checked whether we were planning to view the light shows around town and how long we had. The menu at 25 euros was excellent we chose a starter of terrine of summer vegetables, followed by exquisitely cooked dorade and delicious desserts. The restaurant is obviously popular, especially with locals, so I advise booking. Throughout the serv...

Great value set menu 25 euros (dinner). The food isn't overly fancy, doesn't push any boundaries but it is treated with respect and served well. My partner had soupe de poissons, then chicken stuffed with mushrooms followed by a dessert of baked apple caramel. I had rabbit terrine, a large and succulent pork chop with cheese rather than dessert. They serve very good red wine by the glass (a Faugeres). Total bill for 2 including drinks and a coffee 65 euros. It is a family run restaurant, the lady looking after us was helpful and friendly.

My wife and I went on a Saturday evening to this very nice restaurant . The welcoming was very warm. We took a menu , the starter was very good: chicken terrine with foie gras, as a main, we had the steak cooked Japanese ; it was amazing, this cook really knows how to cook a steak , we ordered it rare saignant) the chef manages to cook it in such a way that the meat is rare while being warm ! Amazing! The team is extremely friendly.
