We came upon Le Galion purely by chance, whilst walking through Cancale. It was quite quiet so we grabbed a stool by the bar. Pierre and Maz were serving and made us feel very comfortable and welcome. High jinx and laughter soon ensued. A quick...beer soon turned into hours of beer, shorts and shots. You could say they were doing their job by keeping us drinking, but we felt like locals. Went back two days later, Pierre remembered our drinks and our names and another few hours of drinking came and went. When we return to Cancale, then this will be our local haunt.
Accueil très sympa, grand choix de whiskys et cocktails fort bien réalisés, de vins de toutes provenances, à siroter accompagnés de quelques produits canailles de qualité (huîtres de Cancale, pâté en croûte, terrine au foie gras, tarama, planche de poissons fumés, baba au rhum … … quoi de mieux pour finir la journée ou débuter la soirée sur le petit port de Cancale redevenu calme après la fermeture des boutiques touristiques ?
Here's a Brasserie as we love them... We recommend a bretonne beer served at the pump and therefore super fresh. The Duchess Anne. The winch is uncommonly measured and feels well in the first seconds. We have to thank them we'll never do it enough.
Welcome. Careful service. good atmosphere mixing local and tourist. Dedication to Saturday night's server that offered a bowl of water to our little dog. He hit us and we came back. Like what a little nothing makes the difference.
