I read about this on tripadvisor as a place to get away from the tourist fare in carcassonne. We were not deterred by the fact this little restaurant is a little off the beaten path and walked 20 minutes from our hotel near le pont neuf. What a delightful choice. On a warm evening it must be lovely to sit outside. Inside has very kitschy decorating with old telephones, coal lanterns, a hair dryer turned into a lamp. We had foie gras (that was among the best I have had) and asparagus as entrees with a nice reasonably priced bottle of wine (same bottle was 13 e cheaper here). Beautiful presentation. My wife had seared tuna for a main and I had lamb - beautiful presentation and lots of veggies....
We were the first to arrive for our lunch reservation so we had our choice of tables. We started with and apero and then all ordered a three course lunch that included a glass of wine. The red wine was at the point of being oxidized so not good. We ordered a bottle of red wine with to go with our lunches and it was fine. The starters were either a plate of charcuterie or crudite and both were very good. The main course we all chose was the duck Asian style over rice and it was tender and very tasty. Located in a neighborhood about a half mile from the town center, we stumbled on this restaurant by "happy accident". I quickly went on TripAdvisor and saw the ratings. Luckily, they had a cancellation and could seat us. HOW very LUCKY were we!. Each of our party of 4 had a scrumptious meal with a wonderful local wine.This "farm to table" restaurant is "simple" French food served in an informal setting with attentive service.
First of all, if you are staying in the old town and are thinking of walking, don't. It took us ( and we were 5) nearly an hour. However, the restaurant is worth a visit even if it's a little out of the way and a trifle hard to locate.Good food at reasonable prices. Nice setting.Easy dining.Worth a visit and not expensive.

Quirky restaurant in the middle of a housing estate. We walked from the centre of town which wasn't too far. Great seasonal food well presented. Not too fussy. Simple well matched ingredients. The terrace is well laid out and not too cramped. We had a great meal here. Would definitely go back. ££-£££
Located in the middle of a housing development you need to be seriously lost to land here by mistake. Picked it up from Trip Advisor reviews it was located a short walk from the railway station. The food was excellent as was the service. Would recommend and will return if ever in the area again.
We visited this somewhat out of the way restaurant and were rewarded with a truly delicious meal. Both my husband and I had three courses, chose different dishes and thoroughly enjoyed everything. It was the best meal we had had all holiday. Simple food, beautifully cooked.
Lovely lunch with 2 amazing salads. We had an enjoyable glass of wine while deciding on our order. Food came promptly and was excellent. We were not rushed through our meal nor were we kept waiting for food. A lovely meal!

Loved the venue and the very friendly service. Our third time in the same week. We tried different meals and they all were superb. Definitely a must!
