The restaurant is beautifully appointed and the staff attentive and helpful. Great wine list and interesting looking menu. However the chef chooses good ingredients and presents the plates beautifully but the combinations just do not work. All the tastes felt flat from the bread roll doughy and underbaked), the octopus with citrus where the gel overwhelmed the plate and the tuna dish tasteless. What a waste of money and it pains me to say this.
As always, a real pleasure to dine at Le Jeu de Paume. Impeccable service, imaginative and delicous dishes and excellent local wine. Overall, faultless and to be highly recommended.
