the perfect compliment to a day exploring the left weinberge. charming and warm. we chose the 5 curs lunch prix fixe, which included on this day terrine, duck, leber, foie gras, and a delicate apple and plant tart with French vanille ice cream. the house. the profit of the month was a great worth (more other tables did not bring their own bottle safely over cork fee, if at all.) a remarkable 2-hour experience and the cook talked to all the tables when the service was done.

for 30 years several times. always enjoyed the experience and today was great. menu explained by the maitre d’, which was politely tolerant of our French and led us through some local specialties. the lion d’Or sits in the center of some fabulous vineyards...so has to maintain the highest standards. we were in bordeaux during this heatwave, restaurants to explore etc. and this outside the city has simply been the best.

We thoroughly enjoyed this classic dining experience in a family run restaurant with creativity. We enjoyed a salad with jamon and then the duck, which was cooked to perfection. The dessert was a highlight with a fruit compote, berries, pineapple and mandarin encased in a...orb af sugary bliss. This is not the clean line and stark restaurant that can be so popular today, but a wonderful Bordeaux experience.

Visited to lunch while on a wine tasting tour this place is a bit a jewel. blackboards show the menu with a good selection of starters and nets that vary depending on the season. our waiter spoke English helpful about the menu. fortunately return to our next visit in the region.
