"We chose to eat at this restaurant because it was busy and assumed that this was because the food was good. I had dorade (sea bream) which was too small for the amount of money charged for it, and was overcooked. My wife's meal was not much better, so we skipped desert and left."

There are several restaurants along the lagoon front, so you won't be choosing where to eat on the view. Nearly all the restaurants are tied up with a local oyster producer, so it is also unlikely you will need to make a choice on freshness of local product. So its where is there space and what's the price. We went to this restaurant twice, once at about 14.00 h and another at 12.30 having just got off a boat trip (see below). We had the 29 Euro set meal which included oysters, Bouzigues has leaner saltier oysters than those you might expect from Brittany, but they were still excellent. Mussels were small as previously mentioned by 773NeilI digress but if you go out on the boat trip you will...

Breath in the sea air at this little restaurant literally across the road from the basin de thau. Oysters grow on the sea wall across from the restaurant. One can see the many oyster beds that serve this capital of oysters in France. The oysters are excellent as is the other sea food. If you want something else this isn't the place for you, neither is this a fine dining restaurant. The food is simple and fresh and good. The wine menu focused on local wine but what better than oysters and picpoul on a sunny day by the sea.Our second visit to this restaurant but not our last.

A little slow on the start, seems to be the way in France lately. Once the order was eventually taken it was a very nice dining experience. We had baked mussels and baked oysters for an appetiser. The mussels were very very small, which as this is the home of mussels and oysters very disappointing, the oysters were on the other hand very big. We both had the entrecôte for main, how can you go wrong. We are finding the food here in France very expensive compared to Spain where we have just come from. Nice little town, sit outside and enjoy. Would I go back? Yes, sure.

Unlike some of the other restaurants by the marina, this by far the friendliest. The staff are attentive and charming, but not 'in your face'. The food is amazing, well presented and reasonably priced. Particularly the locally farmed Oysters, Monk Fish, and Scollops in a Chorizo sauce.
