We were staying here for 4 nights and ate here twice. The restaurant is popular, the staff charming and the food very good. They made a big production of a special dish which involved wrapping fish in cellophane which was popular. The couple who manage the hotel are hard working and ever present and the setting is spectacular. The lake in the morning sun with the mist across it, the birds of prey in the sky are all lovely. The staff seemed unaware there is a lovely walk along one side of the lake and another up through the trees behind the hotel towards the holiday village. The nearest other food and drink is Chantonnay whicn can be reached in 45 minutes on quiet roads on foot. The rooms ove...
