that is the second tonne we were here, and it has not failed our first experience our neighbor recommended to try it, and I must say it will be a more regular for us. it's a little unpleasant if they don't drive. but only one walk from the center of castelnaudary. located on the duel-cut, it is not difficult to find and the fact that it looks as if a windmill adds its charm. the heart is the huge open fire where the cook cooks all his meat. for everyone. it is also a visual firm. the service is warm and welcoming and eating is very good. fo there is an attempt. they will not be disappointed
there were ten of us looking for dinner on Thursday night, so we went on Wednesday afternoon to ask only if they had a private booking on Thursday night, so that we remained disappointed. then we decided, as they were expected, that we are open on Thursday at 11.55 a.m. and try our luck. our luck was there and we have a big table in the back room that had luck, like the front room where the bar and bbq becomes very warm, especially at a 36 degree day that was our day. eating was excellent as it was. not cheap, but they have to pay for excellent. the entrecote steak was perfect
Having lived near this restaurant for nearly 10 years we only discovered this restaurant via a friend last week. We had the plat du jour which consisted of a choice of starter, quiche with chicken and cepes or blue cheese salad. Main course was bavette of beef with sauteed potatoes and ratatouille and for dessert a choice of Tiramisu, Creme Brulee,Chocolate Mousse and Panacotta. Two glasses of wine an aperitif, tea and coffee, 50 euros. Portions were generous, service excellent and dog friendly. No complaints. Thanks

do not let them put off (it is on the main street,) eating here is wonderful. we had all steak and my niece had to start a plastered court. the steak was perfectly cooked and delicious. the service was friendly and attentive, we managed to. in our high school to understand French. we would have liked to have eaten here if we were to stay longer.
Moulin Vert is a beautiful local resteraunt close to castelnaudary. A blazing fire greets you with meat cooked to order on the flames. A 3 course is very reasonable with a few options in price (23€ €33) depending on what you wish. Exceptionally good food...and atmosphere, a great place for a romantic meal or family get together.
We visited again, just to make sure it wasn 't a fluke the first time! Its still an excellent meal and good value for money. Try lunch they have a nice sunny patio where you can enjoy the fresh air.
With a lovely welcome, great service and gorgeous food, this restaurant is a must-visit. The steak cooked on the fire is to die for.....

yesterday on the way back to katalonia we stopped to this beautiful place for lunch. eating was beautiful, great wein great armagnac.
We visited in low season. This family run restaurant is charming with excellent salads and steaks. Thank you for an excellent meal.
