We stayed overnight at the Etap hotel in Issoire and wanted a nicer restaurant than the nearby Buffalo Grill. We normally find hotel restaurants that are members of the Logis de France offer a good standard of food and we were not disappointed in the slightest. The restaurant had a nice ambience and the meal was excellent and good value. We did however think the bottle of wine rather expensive at 28 euros and that was about the cheapest. Fortunately it suited our palate very well if not our pocket. We found the owner to be extremely pleasant and would return here if we were in the area again.
There is a problem: the menu and the meal are exquisite. The boss is alas bougon. Be careful not to hunt customers. The restaurant is defraichi, the stubborn chairs. The owner is not discreet, we knew everything our neighbors were eating. besides the good cuisine of the main dish, the dessert, one being said white lady, is limited to two balls of vanilla bathing in a square bowl of chocolate! the prices of wines are very expensive.
