Very nice site for several activities.. The summit is, however, to walk or on the gondola of the loserix and then take the paths that interest you to climb to the top Sancy of the Massif Central with 1886 m, I was able to walk the Gr trails with my dog held on a leash because the other path passes through the protected site of the Volcano National Park of Auvergne. However to climb to the orientation table on the last 200/300m there is a good gap and make the right choice of walking shoes or type of basketball market or trail... A 360 view from the center of France!! very pleasant and impressive. Then the decent GR with my dog in Super Besse a very good time
A must if you stay in the area, the roof of the central massif and its magnificent 360° panorama. Made from Super Besse with family, to choose the total ascent on the day or the cable car of La Perdrix then a short walk (taking its time) on the ridge line to reach the top. The final ascent is rather steep, be well-enhanced, to avoid mobility problems (more accessible by Le Mont Dore).
We made the rando of Mont-dore: Sancy-col puy of the nature reserve of boiler-col of the cross saint robert-la grande cascade-retour Mont dore. Rando 25 km-1350m off. Very beautiful landscapes, however in the middle of the season, there is a world where you arrive at the Puy de Sancy which is accessible by cable car or other easier access hikes. To do and see the same thing!
Beautiful Auvergne roof. You must see it to contemplate this view on the chain of the central massif. A marvel. The ascent of the cable car allows to take the children (and large parents). There is still a beautiful climb of several hundred meters in a wooden staircase maze and you are here.

It's magical places. I went to winter and it was a big sun. I came to visit gold school periods and found it practical no tail to take the cable car to the top. We were very welcome by the lady who sells the tickets. The view on the terrace of the resort is magnificent.
Great! Really. I recommend the hike of 16.6km from the city of Mont dore, and touring the ridges of Sancy, fabulous. A little shaky, but it's worth it. On the other hand, many peaks, so it's not for those who have vertigo
It's beautiful! Start the cable car then climb the puy with a little over 800 wooden steps (20 min). Can be done with children without problems. Many people, but really don't miss if you come to Auvergne.
Puy de Sancy a must-see place. Beautiful landscapes. Get on the cable car. Descent hiking with our ****. Great day.
