We recently returned to this restaurant for a third time. We had previously enjoyed the food and surroundings very much. In July my family and I went for lunch, we were greeted by the chef who told us she had recently broken her foot and was clearly in some difficulty but still cooking. Two of our party ordered Skate wings for main course, sadly this turned out to be the source of our disappointment. As soon as these two plates arrived we could all smell something was not correct with the fish. Apart from the food on the plate being luke warm the fish smelt and tasted strongly of ammonia. We decided to set foot in this sublime and warm restaurant. greeted with the smiling, takes and hangs our coat on a very classy (very refined) , very sought after cuisine. a delight . price largely reasonable for the quality of the product! Those who complain that it's too expensive for what's happened are sacred bad languages is exeptional and cheap for what's happened! the chef who comes out of his kitchen to come greet his clients, ask if everything goes well I find it exellent because few people do. Little music in the background. We will come back with great pleasure and again thank you it was perfect we are delighted!!

But what a dish!Put pork play and its small vegetables (including broom cabbages that I had not eaten for 30 years (I hate Brussels cabbage)). Thank you to the happy owners of the Mortmart relay! Thanks to a very friendly and warm chef, our romantic getaway was exceptional. Tasty dishes of high quality (all is homemade), we haven't eaten as well for a very long time, even the formula from noon to 13 euros can make any restaurantmaker pass, to try urgently! mme dugraindelorge has everything done to make our stay perfect: beautiful success! again thank you and soon I think your address is precious to us now:)
We ate dinner based on the reviews on here and weren't disappointed. Slightly pricey but then we did go for the €45 option. Foie Gras delicious, steak was beautiful. They really looked after our little boy (beware there is no child's menu though so you do have to have a smaller version of adults meal) We were the only people eating but we were sat outside so it made no difference. Beautiful food, great service and thoroughly enjoyed it.
If you are in this area this is a must stop. The service and the food are impeccable. The desserts are homemade and out of this world. The decor is also very nice. Spend an hour in the nice little town Le Relis is in. Mouselin with red fruits is the best dessert my wife says she has ever had in France.
invited by the family for lunch in this very nice place where the dishes are very well cooked and well presented. the guests of this hotel are warmest and in small care for guests. If you are visiting mortemart, don't hesitate to make a gourmet stop at the relay.

We visit this area each year and tend to eat here each year on a visit to Oradour or St Junien. Excellent food. Just finished a great menu du jour for 13€. Loved it.
