As our previous go to restaurant for a cross channel trip had closed we asked for a recommendation from the nearby wine merchants who supply the trade. They not only recommended Le Saint Sébastien but they made a booking for us. We thought that explained the warm welcome we received, but all diners were similarly greeted. The Menu at 34€ proved delicious tasty scallops, perfectly cooked St Pierre and beef fillet, 3 good local cheeses and a rhum baba with the bottle brought to the table in case a top up was required. The accompanying vegetables were varied and not overcooked and the service was attentive and friendly a good antidote to Paris pomposity. The perfect way to celebrate a birthday....
On y mange très très bien rien à redire sur la cuisine, en ce qui concerne le service s est tout autre chose, le service est beaucoup trop rapide. Arrivés à 12h45 et en ayant pris apéritif, entrée, plat dessert café, nous sommes sortis a 14h30, si on va restaurant c est pour prendre le temps, on court déjà assez la semaine !!
What a shame we never got the opportunity to stay here. We arrived at 5.00pm to find the hotel closed. As Logis ask to let the hotel know if we will arrive after 6.00pm we were surprised. By 6.30 still no show so we decided to reluctantly go elsewhere We will never know what we missed.
Weekday meals at the hotel restaurant with delicious chef-themed menu. Made with local, quality products: marsh vegetables, Licques poultry... I recommend, a very good discovery.
