The enjoyment of the food and the very informal tone did not compensate for the very bad food. We were a family of 6. Ordered 5 menus. Looked like a bargin. But the starters was at best to be described as boring. The maincourse of fish was overboiled, the duckbreast burned though raw and the burgers dripping of the onions juice. The entrecote was quite large but only little meat. We skipped the desserts. The bill for 6 with a bottle of very ordinary Champagne and to bottles of water ended at 226 €. Not a bargain and luckily we had many other evenings to look forward to. So not aSpoiled evening. But do not come for he food. Enjoy a drink and the view. And the service by nice local people.

My husband and I stayed in Saint Jeannet in September 2014, in a villa on the hilltop with my in-laws and had a beautiful stay exploring the south of France. Le Sainte Barbe was the perfect spot to have a coffee of an evening and watch the sunset over Nice. The coffee was lovely - and you had a free biscuit too. The free wifi was super-fast and providing a nice place to have a morning coffee and catch up with emails. We didn't stay at the hotel so cannot comment on the rooms

This was a slow day so we got all the attention we needed and the lady serving was in a good mood. We got the menu with starter + main course and shared a dessert. That's enough for normal eaters, IMHO. All was well prepared and served timely.Ambience in the café is quite basic, the restaurant is nicer and colourful with an exotic theme. The view is quite stunning and the village is beautiful in itself too, worth a walk after the meal to digest the food.

A local told us about the lovely pizzas served at this restaurant (perhaps he has some stakes in the company...) We were certainly not disappointed in the quality of the pizza but we were definitely turned off by the choice of music (very loud English music the entire time we were there), the not very warm service that we received, and the overall quality of the patrons. Not a place we recommend unless it's the only restaurant in town that's open!
