Le Terminus - Table reservation

Moutiers on a Tuesday night, late September is largely closed, so we had a good wander around trying to find a decent restaurant. After all that we came back to this restaurant which is attached to or part of the Hotel Terminus, which is where we were staying. At least there were a few diners here. When you walk in and see the self service part it's not very appealing, but once seated it's not too bad. Friendly, helpful welcome, and willing to talks about the menu. After a long drive I wanted something simple, so opted for the bacon burger. Not a bad choice at if was home made, tasty, quite thick, and with good garnishes. We were taking the TGV to Paris and came in here for breakfast before getting on the train(family - 2 adults/3 children). They charged us E8.50 EACH for a "buffet" breakfast. This consisted of an orange juice, a soggy pain au chocolat, a little piece of bread and a hot drink. No plates, no napkins, crumbs everywhere. The most expensive breakfast we have had in a long time. We politely complained at the lack of food and were told that was all there was. Quite an upsetting experience. We ski in the Three Valleys every year but we will never come back to Le Terminus - and we recommend that anyone thinking of having a meal here doesn't! Great little place for proper food, big portions. We had this place booked for us and we were not warned that they do not have an english speaking waiter therefore its a bit of a difficult experience.

Self service cafe, obliging staff who served us even though it was passed their closing time. Good food and very handy for station
