I've been to Leaf several times and always enjoyed the experience. My recent visit however was significantly different than previous ones and has really effected my overall opinion of the restaurant. Mainly the issue with this visit came down to the speed with which our food was prepared and delivered. I'm not sure if this was a front of the house or back of the house problem but it took well over an hour, almost an hour and a half, for our food to arrive from the time we ordered. We both ordered a sandwich (they were ok) so its not like it should have taken that long to prepare. I had an amazing experience at this restaurant! I surprised my husband by taking him there, and we had a great time smoking cigars in the dining area, sipping on imperial stout porter, and enjoying a live band. The Cuban sandwich was deliciously smokey, savory, buttery, and the scoop fries were perfectly fried. We asked for a side of cheese sauce for dipping, which made it even better. The cheesesteak was good but a bit salty. The portions were generous and the prices were reasonable. We haven’t been here in a while, overall it was good. We noticed they pared down the entree part of the menu and mainly feature burgers, sandwiches and apps. We both got burgers and while they were good they were both missing the thick slab bacon. My Husband ordered the smokehouse burger but got a version of the steakhouse burger but ate it anyway because it was good. Our server was attentive and accommodating which made for a pleasant experience. The musician they had was the highlight of the night, he played awesome songs and wasn’t too loud. The major downside of the evening was how smoky it is in there. I get it that it’s a cigar bar but man is it smoky, so be prepared.
My wife and I arrived 20 minutes early. We were seated and was told our server would be right over. After waiting 15 minutes for the server we got up and left. On the way out of the restaurant the hostess asked why we were leaving. I told her the server never came over to wait on us. I felt bad for her but it wasn’t her fault. The restaurant wasn’t that crowded that we were not even asked for our drink order. Leaf you need to up your service game.

It is smokey, and maybe you should know that. The filtration system is good, but it is still not somewhere I'd go if smoke bothered me. The food was really good, I'd recommend anything with bacon (which is a bunch of things) because it's really more like pork belly the way they slice it. Full bar and cigars can be smoked wherever you are. It was fantastic.
The restaurant recently updated their menu, but now they have limited options that mostly consist of fried bar food with no substantial entrées. The dishes were lacking in flavor and the service was notably slow. Although we used to enjoy dining there, we won't be returning in the future.
Excellent place to go with friends and have a drink and cigar. They had a 2 piece band which was a little loud but still enjoyable. I would recommend this cigar bar to everyone.
There were not enough servers working at the restaurant. It took 15 minutes before we were even acknowledged at our table.
