Went for the 21.50E menu of the day at lunchtime. Arrived at around 1.30pm The starter we both wanted wasn't available as were alot of the other dishes. Similarly with the sweets where we only had a choice of one strawberry Tiramisu. I was offered a starter off another menu. The food we had was quite good and the service was Ok. I would suggest if you plan on visiting here go early for lunch so you get the full choice on offer. I felt a bit short changed paying for the 21.50 menu when most wasn't available.
Tonight was our 4th dinner in Sarlat and it was head and shoulders the best. Inventive and unexpected combinations of flavors using local ingredients- each course was a winner. Our server was personable and fluent in English, but politely allowed me my attempts to slaughter the French language. I was too full for dessert, so she gave me a dessert to go. A meal to remember.
Just popped in as staying overnight in Sarlat as property hunting. What a lovely experience. My daughter and I loved the atmosphere, the food and our wonderful waitress. I wish I had asked her name, but she was so welcoming and patient with our dismal attempts at French! Great food and well worth a visit. Highly recommended. Thank you
So many great restaurants and menus to choose from in Sarlat. I had to have Salade de Gésiers as a starter so this restaurant had a head start. As soon as we sat down we knew it was a good choice. 3 courses with 50cl of wine was 44.50€. Good value and delicious. Served by friendly, knowledgeable staff in lovely surroundings.
