I can only describe my experience at this Leonidas as underwhelming. The customer service leaves much to be desired; the best you can expect is to receive no service at all. During my visit last week, I waited for a long time without any acknowledgment from the baristas, and I noticed the cashier rolled her eyes at an older woman in front of me who wanted to sit outside. The pastries always appear stale, and the macarons are lacking in flavor. While the espresso drinks are decent, overall, I was disappointed. I usually prefer smaller coffee shops, but this particular Leonidas has me leaning more towards Starbucks. I really wish Basu would open in the mornings!
Awful service! I visited on Sunday at 3:30 p.m., just before graduation, and the staff seemed completely indifferent. I ordered a coffee, a Dulce de Leche Bar, and two pieces of chocolate. I received my coffee and chocolate, but my Dulce de Leche was missing. The management has been unresponsive; I've been trying to call since Monday at various times, but no one picks up. I expect to get my cake if I come back, and please, start answering your phone! If I could, I would rate this place zero stars, but that's not an option.
This charming little cafe offers a fantastic selection of coffee and pastries, all of which I sampled and found to be outstanding. The crepes look amazing, so I’ll definitely give them a try on my next visit. The staff is friendly, attentive, efficient, and skillful. There’s a lovely, bright atmosphere, with outdoor seating available. It's truly a hidden gem in the neighborhood. I highly recommend stopping by for a snack and a coffee!
Nice little coffee, pastries and chocolates shop in downtown Northbrook. They use Illiys coffee which is not bad. Prices are a bit on the high side, not unreasonable given the location and clientele. Customer service was meh, not sure if the girl behind the counter was just having a bad day. Had an almond Croissant, which was pretty good, not too sweet or over almonds, just right.

Great little shop, a lot of great coffee and pastry options, all of which I've tried have been top notch. Their crepes look amazing and I'll be trying those out the next time I'm in. Staff is polite, attentive, competent and quick. Nice light vibe withseating outside. Definitely a neighborhood gem. I highly recommend stopping by for a snack and a coffee.
I love this place. Of course the chocolate, the deserts and great coffee. Nevertheless I love the food here picture shows the Omelet Provencal and pumpkin spice latte with homemade pumpkin puree.
