We decided to eat here based on Tripadvisor reviews and because we really enjoy Moroccan food after visiting the country several times over the years. We ordered a Moroccan salad, veggie couscous, and veggie tajine. I expected a couscous-based cold salad with finely chopped tomatoes, onions, a couple of olives, and parsley on top. Instead, it was a lettuce-based salad with some tomatoes, grated carrots, and some chunks of goat cheese. It tasted fine but it was not at all a Moroccan salad. The veggie couscous and tagine looked authentic, but definitely lacked taste. There were few spices in the recipe, especially in the couscous, causing both dishes to taste bland. We added some harissa to sp...

As everybody has already said, don't be put off by the back street surroundings, this is a lovely little restaurant run by a charming couple with tasty food - a great change from cassoulet! I had the tuna and potato cigares to start and my husband had the carrot salad - once we got over the surprise of it being warm, it was really good. I tried to explain to the owner the concept of comfort food, and we all agreed this was really it! I liked the couscous vegetarien, which was exactly as I'd expected. It is a bit bland on its own, but you add as much of the very, very hot Harissa as you like so I ended up with a pure chilli high from the fantastic spices. My husband had the chicken with prese...

Having walked around in Carcassonne on the hunt for an evening meal, my husband and I stumbled upon Les Delices de Tetouan, a superb little Moroccan restaurant. From the outside you can quite easily by put off, but the old saying, "never judge and book by it's cover ..." is true. We had actually walked away, one because we were not sure, it is down and little street with locals sat outside and two because we felt really over-dressed!! We really enjoy Moroccan food and thankfully, decided to go back. We had a starter each (chosen by the owner - who described them all as "bien") and our favourite, Lamb Tagine. This was all washed down with a lovely Moroccan wine, once again recommended by the...

After a terrible experience earlier in the day at the Cafe du Fleuve in Quillan we needed something to cheer us up, and Les Delices de Tetouan made us both smile again. We were the only customers, and we were made to feel very special by this family run restaurant that could give many of the more highly rated restaurants lessons in quality food and exceptional service.Starters were the aubergine and olive (lovely) and the Briwatte ( don't ask me, I don't know what those small pastries were but they were so full of taste I could have eaten many many more.)The Couscous Royale was delicious, and my wife couldn't get enough of the Tagine de Poisson, especially the hot and spicy chilli sauce. This restaurant was recommended by the owner of the apartment we were staying in and it was just around the corner. From the outside it doesn't look like much, and the interior is quite unassuming but the food was very good. The really nice lady owner/chef didn't speak any English and we speak hardly any French but somehow we managed to make ourselves understood with the odd word and with hand gestures. The food was excellent - we had the chicken tagine with lemon and olives followed by a pastry dessert from a selection shown to us. I also tried the mint tea and I'm quite a convert now.

Lovely family-run restaurant, good value with charming ambience. We had very tasty aubergine starter and a nice salad (may not be authentic but enjoyed it). For mains we had a lamb tagine - very tasty - and a chicken couscous with lots of lovely big chunks of vegetable. Although the chicken itself (on the bone, of course) was fairly plain, it was easy to hot it up, as needed, with the sauce provided. The little pastries were OK, although I personally prefer the Greek-style baklava dripping with honey and these were drier in style.

Small very friendly restaurant, tucked away from the main streets. The aubergine starter was seasoned very well, and the flat bread was excellent. For main I had a vegetable tajine, which was saved from being bland by a dollop of harrissa.I completed the meal with a couple of pastries and a mint tea.Service was friendly, paced correctly, and the restaurant seemed clean , although the subdued lighting made it a little hard to see.All in all, good value decent food.

The food was excellent and the tagines were outstanding--I had the lamb but everyone else (we were six) was very happy with their order. Remember to order the mint tea at the end, and have a few pastries. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic Moroccan cuisine. Also, the atmosphere was extremely welcoming and friendly. Go there without hesitation! Book a table now

I have already reviewed this restaurant but I would like to say that Les Delices de Tétouan is even better now. We visited last month after a 2 year lapse and were welcomed like old friends. The fish couscous and the lamb tagine were excellent and the aubergine starter as well. We will return!
