I had a delicious lunch here over Easter. It was good, home cooked French food homemade pate with oh so delicious pain de campagne, a chicken dish cooked in sherry, tarragon and cream and a delicious blackcurrant tart. The wine was delicious (I love Cahors wine) and the service is always so friendly. In the summer you can eat in the garden too, under the wisteria. Lovely. Highly recommend.
A chaque fois que nous déjeunons aux mariniers, nous ne sommes jamais déçus, quel que soit le menu (très abordable qui plus est) ! A tel point que nous en avons fait notre restaurant préféré en toutes occasions ! Et le Chef sait, avec la serveuse, vous accueillir et vous régaler... A nul autre pareil !! A venir déguster sans modération !
Nous avons pris le menu du jour qui était proposé le week-end de la brocante, entrée et dessert pas mal, mais le plat plus que limite, fricassée de moules/ crevettes légumes thaï, 1 crevette et 5 moules accompagnées d’une cuillère de légumes congelés. Nous avions encore faim en sortant. Nous n’y retournerons plus.
We arrived just as they were opening. No problem, they showed us to a table. The lady was very friendly and with her little English and our little French we all got fed. Wine was good and the food excellent. Give it a try. Book a table now

Easily the best food in Douelle. Don't be fooled by the more advertised Auberge, as Les Mariniers is far, far better.
