The fares that remain reasonable are less in view of the slightly light content of the plates. the chosen cakes were pleasant but little topping and the fries plates to 4,50€ brought a burnt tantinet, a little damage! the service as well as the reception on the other hand were pleasant and smiling. My girlfriend and I visited Castelnaud in June. After visiting the very interesting Castle and enjoying the beautiful view, we decided to have lunch at les Tilleuls, just under the castle itself. The staff was very kind and helpful, food was well prepared and presented,...very tasty. The menu was not pricey and we were very satisfied. Products are well sourced and I would like to commend chef Sebastien Billard, with special mention for the gateaux aux noix which was delicious. I'm sure we will return in future.
we came to lunch in this establishment early July. not big world in this first week of great vacation. The smiling boss invited us to choose the terasse we wanted to have lunch. We stayed downstairs. We have appreciated well-preserved regional dishes with real home products. the red meat was very tender and the anchaud was seasoned. We missed the lunchtime so we stopped here on our way to the castle. The waitress was very polite, however I am happy we knew what we want to eat because I do not think she speaks a lot of English. The food itself was...quite tasty, nothing grand but nice enough. The service was quite quick what was important for us at that moment.
We had dinner last night. Beautiful view from the terrace. What the restaurant did was the incredibly friendly, smiling waitress. We both had the Hamburger Tilleul, perfectly cooked. The frits were not homemade, but very well cooked. Best booking in high season.
Food was very tasty, good service. Little stick, it sometimes took a little longer to get what we asked, but they were all very gentle. Also beautiful view of the castle.
