We chose this restaurant mainly because of all the good reviews we had read about the quality of the food and despite the negative reviews about the people who work there. However, we were very much disappointed when we arrived. We had reserved a table...outside and called in advance to make sure that everything will be in order and were confirmed that all is good (as eating with little children and a baby needs quite a whole organisation in advance). Nevertheless, arriving there, the guy who had just confirmed us on the phone that all is good, was so much rude that he dared looking straight into our eyes telling that there were no tables available outside and he had never confirmed us that...

We came here for Saturday lunch with our friend before taking him to La Rochelle airport for his flight home. We had booked a table at 12:00 to allow plenty of time but were totally unprepared for the huge queues trying to get off the...island as we were arriving from the mainland. The queue on the road that runs in front of the restaurant ended only 100 metres from the restaurant! We therefore decided that we would limit ourselves to plat and dessert from the menu and we all chose the coquilles special of the day which consisted of eight really large coquilles plus asparagus, potato quenelles and a sauce served in a separate bowl. We all felt that the coquilles were the best (and best cooke...

Liked this place so much we visited twice. Weather not good the first time so had to sit inside but we’re able to get a table outside on second visit. Lovely view overlooking the sea, the oyster beds with the bridge linking the island to...La Rochelle as a backdrop. This is serious cooking. Crab soup wonderful, as praised in other reviews. Would recommend cod with chorizo mash, herb risotto with prawns, and pork with dauphinois potatoes. Lots of shellfish to choose from. We’re not oyster fans but if you are then they couldn’t be fresher. You can watch them being harvested then delivered to a shack next to the restaurant. And the desserts they are Michelin star standard. Can’t fit a third vis...

Terrific place for lunch or dinner. Across the street from the sea.....outdoor seating if weather is nice. Too windy for us that day. Lovely people, reasonably priced €25 menu including gambas grille with risotto, tuna tartare mains. Delicious crab soup divided for 2 to partager....including...extra for us. The pissaladier composed of duck confit and fois gras was a new and amazing riff on the classic Nicoise. Wide choices of coquillages. Coupe de champagne ..Canard Duchene for €6.50?! Very enjoyable, a place to definitely return to ! Book a table now

I was part of a group that had a three-course menu in this restaurant. the ambiente was very nice in the second floor with view of the harbour. the food was not particularly exciting and the shooting were less than expected for this quality of the...restaurant the first cure was a form of tabuli, which was beautifully presented but tiny and not particularly delicious. the next dish was a damped fish on a bed rice. that was beautiful and delicious. the last was a dessert, most of which was air and weakly deceived by berries.

we found les viviers en re almost random. it is about 600 or 700 meters from rivadoux plage on the road to la fleet. it's worth a visit. the food was great, especially the mönch la lotte) the service was also... excellent we had no reservation, but a place was found for us. the waitress and waitress who served us were very chatting and have abandoned our bad attempt to spit franzosen! it was an excellent value for money. when we go back to ile de re, we know where we will eat on the first day!

We were recommend to visit this restaurant by a regular. We went early just when it open an literally got the last table! If you want to go here suggest you book. Its a strange place as it has a shop next to it, and...at the back of the restaurant there is a large pond that they keep the oysters in, so if you don't like fishy smells, don't go! We had a very nice meal with wine and for the island as a whole not so expensive.

that is a typical tourist trap. tourist fall, no care service and eating, over price for the quality and service they give them, plus they eat directly on the street, not even romantic, not even paid neither in their teller or the view....Even that seems fresh. not even quality, avoid! overpriced, not good and not comfortable and pushed service by a team that if I noticed that is made about eating it.
