Visited here with my friend in September 2018 last night of a 3-day stay in Lac-de-Vassivière. After walking around the lake we discovered L’escale, which was in a beautiful location and we sat outside to watch the sunset in a warm summer night. That was the most beautiful part of our visit. We chose the set menu where both my friend and I chose the duck main and chocolate crepe dessert. I chose the terrine for beginners while my friend had the mixed starter buffet. When the food was served, the terrine was a bit warm and the mixed appetizers did not look too attractive, and then I was glad that I had not chosen the mixed appetizers. We ate here for lunch 4 adults and 2 children, we all had the set menu. All you eat buffet star was amazing, so much choice and it all tasted delicious. For our second course we had steak, which was cooked for perfection, it was simply melted into the mouth. For dessert there was a good choice, crepe, ice cream, cream brulee, blueberry or chocolate mousse. I chose the chocolate mousse again it was delicious. My only negatives are that it was very busy (but that's because it's so popular), but we feel that we waited for it.
Nice and fast service. The terrace is very nice kloet the room is very pleasant even with temperatures above 25 degrees. For the food part, we stay on the brewery but, on the other hand, the price quality report is on the date. Parking very accessible and very beautiful view of the lake. Open all afternoon for refreshments on the terrace above the lake.
After all the negative comments read on this site, we went to lunch this noon and we were pleasantly. Surprised. Our waitress was friendly and the service was impeccable. And we ate very well

Whether you stop eating or just for a 4-hour break, the welcome is hot. we eat well, and they all have for the reception of the children the view is superb the very nice waitress!
Immersed for a quick bite before the boat trip. Lively popular place with busloads from tourists. Cold buffet good value, but designed for bulk material instead of fine food
menu at reasonable price 22 € entry, dish, dessert simple kitchen and good pleasant staff I highly recommend
as usual very good reception, good meal with a very beautiful view of the lake. Very good time. Thank you.
