"One of the best experiences we have had regarding quality of food and friendliness of staff while holidaying in France, every course was excellent and the wine superb, I would recommend a visit and then spend a few hours visiting the Chateau Cenonceaux"

Very poorly trained staff and not good value for money. On arrival I informed the waiter that I am allergic to mustard and checked that the dish I planned to order would be mustard free, which he confirmed. When the food arrived there was a dressing on the lettuce. As I was unsure what it was, I asked if it had mustard in it and, after checking with the kitchen, they confirmed it did. The offending lettuce was then removed from my plate and the manageress was very apologetic, but this type of mistake should not happen! The service was ridiculously hurried throughout the meal. We had barely taken a sip of our aperitifs when the meal was delivered. However we had to ask twice for the wine whic...

My family and I ate there end of July. We were warmly welcomed (despite arriving with 2 very tired and hot 5 and 7 years old). We were given a spacious table under a large umbrella in the coolness of a small garden with a little fountain. The menu was incredibly appetizing (and I am french so I am used to this) and offered 3 choices for appetizers, main disesh, desserts and even included coffee: all of this for 18 euros! The dishes were superbly presented (see photos) and all ingredients very fresh. The waiter could not have been nicer. We are still thankful that he had the hindsight to bring the children’s food very fast. Our only regret: not to have been able to go back for every meal duri...

We ate here because everything else was closed and at the orangerie was a huge crowd. The meal was very basic, even mediocre. The salad with goat cheese was ok, but for the portofeuille it was just a bought pastry in wich was a slice of goat chese... The main dish i had the fish wich i could not eat, no tase whatsoever. Like it was cooked by steam with no salt. For the dessert the tarte tatin was ok but the soup of fruits was just chopped peaches with icecream and a red sugary souce which covered everything and in my opinion the dessert was better without it.. My partner ate the meal because he was very hungry, but his opinion was the same, very basic meal, ok when you have no alternative .....

On a damp Sunday evening in late September we were thrilled to find a restaurant which was open, welcoming and within price range. Four of us had an excellent meal here and the two of us who are vegetarians voted it the best veggie good we've had in France for a very long time. A delightful plate of mixed flavours and textures, all delicious. The boys had whitebait to start then the pork cheeks which they declared equally delicious. Service was fast and attentive and the bill very reasonable. Do give this restaurant a try if you are visiting the chateau at Chenonceaux you won't be disappointed.
