Lim's Hot Bread appears on every single top 10 list of Banh Mi in Sydney, so of course, I had to see for myself. Oh my God, why did I not come here sooner? This is clearly a family business.... the walls are lined with letters to customers family photos, that just gives you a good vibe about the place. The couple running the shop are also the owners, and they served us with sincere friendly smiles, and ran the place like it was second nature to them. We got there for breakfast, and pretty early too, so we didn't have the full range of Banh Mi available, but we went for the Coconut Chicken rolls, with a bakery mini pizza for the 3yr old. There are a few assorted tables in the immediate vicini...

Towards the lower end of the price range at $5 but only about a good as you should expect at that price. The bread had a reasonable crunch but was not fluffy inside. The fillings were good but not packed any more densely than other rolls as I had been led to expect. They used raw chillies that were very mild but still added liquid sauces that leaked through the bag, plus they reduce the amount of pate they use so that they can also put on some mysterious yellowish sauce it had an interesting flavour but I think I prefer the rich pate flavour.

The banh mi thit at Lim’s Hot Bread have more filling than any banh mi thit I have seen anywhere! They have pack double to three times the amount of meat of what you get in a standard banh mi thit. Roll wasn’t as crunchy as I would have liked but overall, still a great banh mi!

I tried to buy some bread as my loaf was nearly gone and I saw some birds were flying around and started eating them and there were no staff to stop them... Bread and cookies looked and smelled so nice but I don’t want to buy left overs of birds’ food.
