Once we were seated it took a very long time to get our food. I ordered my steak medium well and received a ****, nearly rare steak. They took it back and instead of preparing a new steak, they seared it too long and brought it back to me hard and dry. My husband and my son 's steaks were also cooked to the wrong temperature. The table next to us also returned their steak. For a restaurant that specializes in steaks, it was quite disappointing. The fresh fruit was a cut up orange. The seasoned fries were not seasoned at all. And to top it off, our donuts for dessert were nearly burnt in the fryer and tasted just like the fried onions. My husband and I went to LongHorn this past Saturday for our Valentines Day to Bloomington, IN. This was our 'special date ' we were greated by a very rude hostess, we told her we would like to set in the bar area please. 'She said she had no tables available when clearly we could see open tables ' she said she had to give a different waitress 'more tables ', she seated us next to the bathroom, then to make matters worse, she put a huge party right by us, my husband and I couldn 't even talk to each other, it was very disruptive. We gave 2 stars because the food and waitress were wonderful. Our reviews were typically 5 stars, this was always our favorite restaurant. Disappointing adventure.
Longhorn Steakhouse never disappoints. We drank the Berry Blast Sangria which was delicious but extremely sweet. The bread they bring you to start was warm and delicious. I got the Filet with a caesar salad and Mac and cheese. Their caesar is one of the best out of all of the usual competing chain restaurants, the croutons are airy but crunch, it tastes fresh, and I especially love the shaved Parmesan on top. The filet was extremely tender and seasoned well. The Mac and cheese is filled with bacon bits and has a great breadcrumb layer on top that rounds out the side perfectly. It is an up-charge but worth it in my opinion. The service was quick and our server was nice.
