We had a delightful time and the food was amazing!!! We met and chatted with the owners, Theresa and Pedro, who we warm and inviting. They are still waiting on their liquor license (thanks Indiana bureaucracy! , but the food was so good we didn’t care.They also serve brunch, so I can’t wait to try that! Every north side should want to support Los Alfaro’s. We need more good restaurants like this!Vegetarian options: There were a few good vegetarian options.Kid-friendliness: There were no children there when we ate, but they can definitely accommodate kids.Parking: There’s plenty of parking.Wheelchair accessibility: The building and bathroom are wheelchair accessible.
New location. Great service from the friendly owner. Menu offerings are varied with cuisine from 9 Latin American countries, including familiar Mexican offerings. Lots of suggestions and explanations from the owner. Prices are very reasonable and portions are just right. Try the Sangria. Good for families/groups also, small or large. Something for everyone. We will definitely return to try many more dishes that looked delicious.
I stopped by for lunch, and my husband was thrilled with the foot-long taco, which he absolutely loved. The food was fantastic, but I really want to highlight how kind and thoughtful the owners are. Since it's our anniversary this weekend, they surprised us with a delicious piece of cake to celebrate. We almost left before they could bring it out! They were incredibly sweet and friendly. I highly recommend stopping by!
We were the only customers in the restaurant, which I always find a bit unfortunate because the food was absolutely amazing! We made the drive from Indianapolis just to try their famous large taco, and it did not disappoint—it was incredibly delicious. The owner served us and was incredibly friendly, sharing stories about the origins of the big Shell. The house-made sangria was also exceptionally tasty!

Very nice ambiance and excellent service! They are very proud of their homemade items... and open in sharing their recipes. We started with the fries with homemade chorizo and queso. They were delicious! Next we challenged our appetite with the one foot taco with steak! The two of us barely ate half of it!! We would definitely come back... next up on the list is the TWO FOOT BURRITO!
The food was nice; it wasn't extraordinary, but it was enjoyable. The service was a bit slow, likely because only one waitress was attending to the tables. I have a very limited diet, so my choices were restricted, but my husband really liked his taco salad, and my son enjoyed his burrito.
As someone that grew up in Argentina, this is the only place in town where I can taste my grandma’s food. It is also a great option to expand your palate with different tastes from Latin America. Teresa and Pedro are the best!!!

The food is excellent! We had tostones, Colombian empanadas, venezuelan empanadas, fried yucca(cassava) we tried all their different sauces everything was just so good! We will definitely repeat!!
This place is definitely worth the drive! We discovered this place by chance and it's become a staple visit every time we drive through. The owner is great and the food is delicious!
