The food at this restaurant was absolutely delicious! The Barbacoa tacos were the best, and the churros were perfectly crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. However, as a Mexican, I was disappointed that the tacos did not come with onions, cilantro, or salsa. This is the reason for my 4-star rating. I would recommend asking for these toppings in the special instructions portion when ordering.
This place is a hidden jem at South Lake Tahoe. It offers authentic Mexican food, friendly service and a patio where you can social distance and enjoy your food. The burritos are huge and very cheap, and come with chips and salsa. Credit card is accepted on orders over $10. Go, you won't regret it! Off the beaten track but yummy and worth the drive. This is where the locals eat.
If you're looking for a protein-packed meal, avoid ordering the meat plate at this restaurant. The dish consisted of just three small pieces of meat surrounded by a majority of onions and squash. I could have easily cooked up some veggies and beans at home instead of ordering this disappointing dish.
Great burritos! I like that there's lettuce in the Super burrito, adds a nice freshness crunch. Great salsa bar and very friendly staff. Not to be confused with the other Jalisco's in town. Also great, no apparent relation. Book a table now
They seem to be less interested in my consistent ordering. Im loyal customer and my simple request for extra red chili seems to be to much of an ask. I will no longer be ordering from their establishment. Thank you
