to be fair, we were there on a very quiet Monday evening with very few tourists in the city. for half board guests a fixed dinner menu was offered at a height of €20. the fixed price menu had little choice, so we chose the...a la carte menu. this also had a limited choice. eating was okay, but nothing special. the lady who served us was the owner and she was helpful and friendly. I guess the fact that there were only two other guests in the big dining room created a lonely atmosphere. I have eaten there when it was busy and came with a more satisfied feeling. I'd definitely try to go to a more busy night.

We'd just driven over the highest pass in Europe, a tiny little string of a road through the Alpine heavens, and hungry afterwards, stopped in one of the first towns we came across as we meandered down. The sun was shining, there were tables outside,...we went for the daily menu. We weren't disappointed the beef tartare carpaccio, the fresh fish, the veggie options, the deserts all fine ingredients well cooked with local panache. And all served with a smile, and at a very reasonable price. We were the only English voices on the terrace the locals obviously love the place too.

service is excellent and in the usual French style, ie always run from the feet. we have returned here as often as we can, as they quickly deal with them, eating is amazing and all at a good price. pizzas are the best. big, with delicious toppings and certainly a fight to complete. all other dishes are brilliant, from start, main meals and desserts. (no cafe-gourmand, although access is perfect with parking close. one has to stay for their family when they pass or stay before location.

I thought of a quick lunch and ordered a pizza and a glass of water and a wine. the place had only one other customer, barely manage to eat some meat because it was seriously drunk. the service was not too slow to justify. when the pizza... it was so bad that I was less than a slip: the crust was paper-thin and there was a big pour of fat yellow cheese that had a bad taste. to pay the bill, I had to go in and wait a good ten minutes. it was also expensive!
