This is not our first visit to Luigi and certainly won't be our last. Chris and the front of house staff are all wonderfully attentive and welcoming without being intrusive or overbearing. But the real star of the show is the excellent food. For once I resisted the enticing crispy duck and watermelon salad and went with a beautifully fresh and zingy crab starter followed by rigatoni with sumptuously slow-cooked beef cheeks. Both were delicious. All four of our party had something different and none of us was disappointed. If I have one complaint it's that I wasn't fit to take on a dessert. I cannot recommend Luigi in Dornoch highly enough. Surely the best food in the Highlands.
Last minute booking so were offered outside table. Weather was good so we went for it and we had a great meal, way surpassing our expectations. We stayed with seafood and fish for both courses and everything was excellent. as a result we could not overlook a desert course and had a first rate creme brulee and bitter chocolate tart. excellent food, wine and service. We will be back for more.
Staying local for the evening so decided to go for a stroll to stretch our legs after a day of travelling. My wife had read the reviews online and suggested it would be a good option.....Well truely impressed. Service fab. Food awesome I had the Scallop, Prawn and Chorizo linguine whilst my wife had the Salmon risotto, both were truely top notch. Great wine selection as well.
Incredible experience! I enjoyed the fresh mussels in a creamy wine and garlic sauce, followed by the crispy duck salad and crumble cake for dessert. The service was friendly, attentive, and charming. This restaurant offers some of the best food I have ever tasted, and I have traveled extensively. I highly recommend dining here if you are in Dornoch. Absolutely delicious.

We had a fantastic experience from the moment we entered the restaurant! The wait staff was attentive, the decor had a beachy vibe, and the food was excellent - from the cheddar soufflé to the mussels my husband loved, and his delicious lobster tail. If you're in Dornoch, we highly recommend dining at Luigi's!

Luckily we’d book well in advance for a party of six on a Saturday night. Full with visitors and locals enjoying superb food in a welcoming atmosphere. Well worth a visit.
My wonderful dish was Prawn Linguine but I had food envy for everyone else's dish. Great service, fresh cooked food and stunning location.
