Twice now we have tried to experience this restaurant. First visit to Aviemore : Asked for a table to be bluntly told we are not serving food come back in a hour. Second visit to Aviemore: Asked to book a table for the same evening...to be told again bluntly, we don’t take bookings, it’s first come first served, once we are full we are full. Bearing in mind it was absolutely throwing it down outside, I asked what time do you suggest we get ourselves here to be likely to get a table. The response was no idea it changes each night. had dinner in this popular restaurant during a short stay in aviemore. the hotel is located in the center with very friendly staff. popular and do not take prebookings so they may have to wait. our waiting lasted only about 10 minutes. good choice on menu, large print menus. on the wall for those who need it. recommend them salmon with fresh veg and squid and chips. good size shares, fast service and excellent prices. worth a visit.
After a shocking experience in the coylumbridge hotel (where they literally lost our booking for dinner and couldn’t accommodate us at all we came into aviemore late on a Friday night looking for something to fill our two young son’s up. There were 8 of us who turned up for lunch, we were easily seated and served quickly. A very enjoyable lunch, everyone was very happy. Not the greatest veggie options but enjoyable never the less.
