Came here with my wife after a recommendation from her work colleague. This little restaurant is tucked away in the high street and you could miss it quite easily. But I would encourage everyone to hunt the place out. The menu is mixed with english breakfasts and sandwiches at very good prices alongside a Portuguese menu and a mexican menu. We opted for Portuguese as the owner is from Madera. We shared pasteis de bacalhau which is basically cod crochets. These were very good and ypu could really taste the fish the exterior wasnt your typical over cooked over fried crochet. Lightly cooked with a good crunch. We then shared arroz de pato duck with rice and chorizo as well as lula estufada stuf...
I had a delicious sandwich stacked with steak, sausage, ham, cheese, egg, and the most amazing sauce on toast, served with chips at this restaurant. My wife had to practically roll me home because I was so full, but it was totally worth it. I have been searching for months for a place that makes this sandwich, and it was one of the tastiest things I have ever eaten. The customer service was fantastic, the staff were friendly and chatty. I have already recommended this place to my friends and plan to visit again soon!
I highly recommend trying Portuguese food to everyone. Come and give it a try, from delicious breakfasts and lunches to a variety of dishes and desserts. Enjoy some tasty Portuguese wine and don't forget to try their famous custard tarts. Finish off your meal with a nice brandy.
This was my first visit to the restaurant and I was blown away by the excellent service and delicious food. I will definitely be returning in the future. The jumbo breakfast with tea was absolutely amazing.

they always enjoy eating from here! The kartoffels are beautiful and big! always served with a big smile! oh and their smoothie are amazing! especially the spinat one!
