We plan to return soon to try out the lunch buffet, which we encountered while dining with my mother-in-law yesterday. We were delighted by the variety of delicious options available, including Chicken Makhani, Yellow Dal, Mattar Paneer, mixed vegetables, as well as the Vegetable Pakora and Carrot Halwa, which we thoroughly enjoyed. I especially appreciated that the carrot halwa wasn't overly rich in butter or excessively sweetened, as we've found in other places.
The only downside was that there were so many tempting options that it was tough to stop and save room for more! We will definitely be back!
At first glance, you might mistake the exterior for just another greasy spoon, but you'd be mistaken. The interior is clean and beautifully designed. We tried the buffet, and the food was absolutely fantastic! Everything tasted fresh, and the flavors were divine. The manager even brought us a fresh batch of their homemade bread. They offer a variety of Indian dishes along with an extensive selection of breads. We've definitely found a new favorite restaurant to return to! Highly recommended!
I used to love the Dosa King when it was in this location, and was sad when it closed so I was quite excited to try Maharaja when it opened. They revamped the inside of the restaurant, and the new décor is lovely. I had the Chana Masala, my favorite Indian dish, and it was delicious! The staff was friendly and helpful too! We will definitely be back!
Found this jewel about a month ago and I'm already here about 12 times I can't say enough about this place and it's not just the food. The owner and the wonderful lady who is there every day must be the two nicest people you will ever meet is definitely a must try. Oh and try the Chai tea it is an additional bonus

The food is fantastic, and the staff is wonderful. I'm excited to hear that they'll be offering a dinner buffet on Tuesdays and Wednesdays because it's so hard to choose just one entrée!
Stopped in without knowing what a treat we were in for! Best Indian cuisine I've had anywhere near Minneapolis and the staff was over the top kind, can't wait to come back!
