Maine Makers Society is situated on a busy stretch in Montville, ME. I stopped in with a dear friend hoping to score a breakfast sandwich and they delivered. I had sausage, egg, and cheese on a French bread roll... not your run of the mill. Then I decided I 'd be a bit gluttonous and have one of their organic yogurt parfaits with banana chips so good. Truth be told I nearly threw the banana chips in the trash but am so glad better sense overcame me and I gave it a go. Delicioso. The amount of energy put into this place can’t be justified into words.. I love the idea behind the entire movement of getting the community involved.. STOCKED with local artisans and their work, crystals and gems, AMAZING food, books, herbs/salves/tinctures and LOVE: easy 5 stars.. Conveniently located just down the road from Lake St. George.. The owner is incredibly kind! I absolutely love her jewelry—it's exactly what I was looking for as a gift to myself, haha! The shop offers a charming selection of handmade items, including pottery, soap, and playful clothing like scarves and purses. You'll also find fabric, jewelry supplies, and collectibles. The food here is absolutely delicious and made with care. This place is a wonderful combination of unique items for sale, art, antiques, books, and much more. I'm disappointed I couldn't stay for any workshops, but I hope to next time I'm in Maine.
The owner is super friendly, the food is affordable and delicious and the place is extremely artistic offering all kinds of cool stuff from local artists, not to mention a pretty sweet live music group on sundays
