Hands down one of the best sushi places I have been to in regards to the fresh sushi, customer service, and menu options. For my dine-in, I ordered the Amazing Tuna (the one with the Tempura Flakes on top), Spicy Tuna Roll, Spicy Salmon Roll, Boston Roll, and the Salmon Roll. I came for dinner and the customer service was exceptional. She very attentive, made sure our waters were filled, and gave great recommendations. The itamae (sushi chef) made each sushi roll with precision and very flavorful. He also gave great sushi recommendations especially with the Amazing Tuna and Fresh Salmon roll. After dinner, the waitress gave me a yummy chewy strawberry candy. She was super sweet and friendly!...
I love this sushi place! Every time I?ve coming the fish has been fresh and melts in your mouth. I love the crunchy spicy tuna roll (sooo good), the salmon skin roll, and the salmon avocado roll! The miso soup is the best around. Fuji apple vinaigrette salad is delicious and fresh. Sometimes there can be a wait since it?s a busy little spot and if you?re lucky enough to get street parking this is great. (I hate the parking garage the shared one with Trader Joe?s and Target)
July 6, 2020: Excellent sushi! Very generous portions for decent prices. We ordered the Sushi without Raw Fish (D4) and the Sashimi Regular (D6). The sashimi was cut very thick, maybe twice as big as what you get elsewhere. I was very amazed at the size of the eel, definitely twice as big as usual. Hm--mm. I wonder if anyone from Management is reading the Questions? I posted mine a while ago, but have received no answer. I LOVE the sushi, at Maki Bar. But I am tired of only being able to get carry-out there. And my question, still unanswered, is when, if ever, does Maki Bar plan to return to serving inside the restaurant? I do realize that Covid is a problem, of course, but for those of us fully vaccinated and boosted, it sure would be nice to be able to dine

This place is awful. To begin with, the staff is terrible. The woman at the register is rude to customers and lacks any personality. On top of that, I ordered spicy sushi and received regular. The cashier also accused me of not having enough funds on my card when it was actually a problem with my swiping. Do not even think about sitting down if you order at the register, as the cashier will once again be rude and unhelpful.
I apologize as I do not know the name of the woman who works the weekend midday shift at this restaurant. However, I have witnessed her going above and beyond for customers, such as returning a child's toy they left behind and offering cough drops to a coughing patron. This exceptional customer service, combined with delicious sushi, is why I have given this restaurant a 5-star rating. Food: 5/5
I ordered shrimp, chicken, and fried rice from this restaurant and was disappointed to find only two pieces of shrimp and very little chicken. The chicken looked like thin strips of questionable meat and I would not recommend it as it made me nauseous.
I have been looking for sushi places all over and most are closed or don't allow you to eat in. This place allows you to eat in and eat in early! Super happy about it.

The sushi at this restaurant is fantastic and the prices are very reasonable. It is a great addition to the Bethesda area.
The food was beautifully presented with generous portions of very fresh raw fish that had an excellent taste.
