This excuse for a restaurant actually deserves a zero rating. Where to begin... a total shambles in all aspects. We ordered entree and main from a server who appeared not to understand English well at all. However, quite adept at grunting, as that was all we heard. You have to wave your arms wildly, literally, to attract a server's attention.Service training or professionalism: zero. We sat at the bare timber tables, contemplated the dirty, sticky floor, noticed the box of Coles homebrand tissues (literally) supplied as napkins, and practised our sign language- the noise level being LITERALLY, too high to communicate across thr table without screaming. (Note: most customers did exactly that -...

Came here for lunch with a friend from the UK. Looking forward to coming back to this restaurant after the refurbishment. Unfortunately, with the new decor, came new low standards. The atmosphere has totally changed and has lost its authentic Malaysia feel and smells. The feel of being in a Malaysian restaurant with its hub-bub and fast and furious pace, with the old faces of the Si Tau and the grumpy but friendly and lovable cashier is lost. From being shown to our table and given menus, that was when the service stopped. We waited a good 10 mins for the server to come back and take our order. Even though, I waved frantically at whichever server came close, they appeared not to notice me wav...

I have walked past Malaya Corner many times and never had the chance to try their food out until the other night. Dined in on a Wednesday night and it was packed. Unfortunately there were no seats inside so we had to sit outside in the cold but at the time we didn't really mind too much as we just felt lucky to even get a seat. However it became a bit of a problem because it was very hard to get attention from waiter staff when we wanted to order food and drinks. I have had better Malaysian food before (definitely think Papparich is better) but the food here is still nice, and the serving sizes here are huge and offered at a reasonable price. I had the roti canai (beef) and my partner had me...

As a Malaysian, I must say this was probably the best we had here in Brisbane. The nasi lemak may not look like much but it was reminisce of my childhood and the dry curry mee was great (with the exception of the char siew which tasted weird). The neighbouring table had bah kut teh and it smelled heavenly. Not sure about the taste. Definitely coming back here for some more Malaysian food when I feel like it! Book a table now

Authentic Malaysian style cuisine with great value for money. Have been coming to this restaurant for years now and still swear by the chicken rice which personally I think is the best I've tried in Brisbane. The wet hor fun is a large portion as with the other foods. It is definitely a family favourite to eat at in the hub - market square.

Since the renovation or new management, this place looks fresh and inviting. Every dish we ordered was tasty. There's so much in the menu and very tempting to try each and every one. Will be back!

Great variety, quality and decent pricing. Recommend the Dry Curry Egg Noodles. The venue has plenty of tables inside and outside and can fill up pretty quick, no bookings required.
