Stayed the night in Mt. Pleasant, IA after a very long day of driving. Got up the next morning and, not knowing the town, resorted to searching on the internet for a place to go. Found this place. Now called Rome Lunch Box, but with the same menu as Mama's Back Porch. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner selections. We had breakfast. Mom and I got 2 slices French toast and two eggs, plus I got a side of bacon. Dad got 2 eggs and one pancake he was going to order two, but the server warned him they're big and they are, filling the whole plate! Yes. I have always had great food and great service. Their pies are the best. Love the Banana Coconut Cream and the Strawberry Lasagna!
