My daughter and I decided to try this restaurant based on the reviews we read. Unfortunately, the fish was so salty that we couldn't eat it. It also seemed like it had been cooked in old oil. They were out of lemon juice, and since I don't like tartar sauce, I didn't have anything to balance the flavor. Perhaps if I had some lemon juice to cut through the saltiness, it would have been more enjoyable. We ended up spending $20 for two orders of catfish filets, each with one side and a drink. I also ordered an extra catfish filet because I had high hopes for it, but that was another $20 wasted. I won't be coming back. I was pleasantly surprised by this place. The fried fish was outstanding—just perfect! Despite the lunch rush and only having two employees in the kitchen, the service was quite decent. The chicken was good, though I’m giving four stars because my thigh had a slight hint of an “old meat smell,” but it wasn't too bad. The mashed potatoes were definitely just okay, but I’d be open to trying a different side next time I visit. Overall, it’s worth a visit, especially for the fish!
Delicious fried chicken and fish! My extended family recently hosted an impromptu birthday celebration. The Mama's Chicken Seafood staff understood the assignment. They completed our LARGE order in less than an hour. Everything was hot, fresh, seasoned well and packaged appropriately for convenient pick-up. They were courteous and helpful with taking our order and during our pick-up.
I ordered the chicken gizzards, which appeared fresh, but unfortunately, they had no flavor at all. I also got a 10-piece chicken, and it was quite salty overall. For a restaurant called Mama's Chicken, it seems like Mama forgot to add seasoning to one dish and then over-seasoned the other. I’ll give it two stars only because both the chicken and gizzards were crunchy.

Food is a 3/5 but the low prices, convenience of liquor in store, and the fact that it's a small business propels it to 4/5. It even has a drive-thru!Chicken is flaky and crispy but could use some more flavor. Mashed potato and gravy was delcious however. The roll was store bought but for a three piece meal with a drink for under 8 dollars? All is forgiven.
I visited the drive-thru on November 14, 2022, and ordered a three-piece dinner. First, the server informed me that they were out of chicken, so I received two legs and a thigh instead of the usual breast, thigh, and wing. When I got home and tasted one of the legs, it was absolutely rancid! They served me rotten chicken! I would recommend not eating here!
I had a great experience at this restaurant! After working all day, I stopped by only to find the door closed. However, the staff member kindly let me in since I was driving a large box truck. I was really grateful, especially because I was very hungry. I highly recommend checking this place out!
If you want good, hot, and really seasoned fish come here!! They know how to cook, and cook that fish really good! I'm talking hot and good! For a decent price! They are not cheap, and the food is worth the price and short wait. ?

The staff here is incredibly friendly. I visited on October 14th and was greeted with warm hospitality. The sweet tea is fantastic, too. The chicken always tastes great, and the fries are delicious as well.
I freakin love this place!! Heads up though... Sides are very small they don't have hot sauce. They have some type of pepper sauce. Chicken is on point though. Fresh crispy!!
