The grits are the perfect consistency. I asked for the scrambled eggs to be hard scrambled because I don't enjoy a runny yolk and they were cooked as requested. I ordered the ribs, French fries, and green beans, and everything was delicious. The ribs were amazing with a sauce that was sweet but not overly so. Fantastic dining experience! The ambiance was tidy and inviting. The service was exceptional. We sampled a variety of appetizers and sides, all of which were delicious. As for the meats, the ribs were flavorful and sweet, while some of the brisket was tough and not as enjoyable. However, the burnt ends were quite tasty. The pork was a bit dry and lacking in flavor. I noticed there wasn’t a pulled pork option, which I would have preferred to order. Additionally, I wasn't a fan of the BBQ sauce; it was not sweet and primarily tasted like tomatoes.

The cashier was very friendly and pleasant, but unfortunately, the food left much to be desired. I ordered a veggie platter, but the mac and cheese was watery, and the squash casserole resembled a mushy mix with dressing. I didn't touch the corn or sweet potato souffle, as they felt like a waste of money. On a positive note, the steak fries were good. Overall, I wouldn't be in a hurry to return anytime soon.
Amazing Southern soul food, down -home atmosphere, quick, friendly service. Love this place so much! I last came here ten years ago but make sure to visit each time I'm in Atlanta. The barbecue pork is just perfect, tender and with a little char. Sides are great too. Nothing has changed, and neither should it. Love this place so much, long may the Hickory House continue!
The cashier was very nice/personable however, the food was not that great I ordered a veggie platter, the mac n cheese was watery, the squash casserole looked like mush with dressing mixed in it, didnt eat the corn nor sweet potato souffle waste of money, their steak fries are good...wouldn't rush to go back anytime soon.
The staff here is truly incredible. When I walked in, I received a warm welcome. I placed a pick-up order, and everything was ready by the time I arrived. This was my first visit, but it definitely won't be my last! I ordered ribs, mac and cheese, and baked beans, and they were absolutely delicious!

This is an incredible restaurant and a beloved spot among locals. I'm particularly fond of their Brunswick stew. The service is also very friendly!
Very good breakfast menu, and very fair prices, above average portions. Everyone on the staff was friendly. I had the country steak. Very good.
