This used to be lovely place. We were coming with kids very often. But lately, out of nice Italian corner in the heart of Bethesda,they made just plain fast food. Last visit will be last, I think. Brings me wheat beer without glass. Ask for glass, she disappears. I go get the glass, they look at me like something is wrong with me. I looked at kitchen fast food. They bring garlic bread WITH the food, not as a starter?! Not even close to brilliant garlic bread they used to serve. Just a regular bread splashed with some cheap tomato sauce. Worst carbonara ever, you need spoon to eat lasagna. The overall attitude we don't care. There are much better options around.
The reason why I recommend this place is because it is a restaurant where you can eat to your liking, the service and great atmosphere, the professional waiters, the manager will ask you if everything is okay and they will serve you to your liking. Amazing service, staff and the owner were super friendly and welcoming, really made the visit special. Food came quickly and portions were VERY generous. My one suggestion would be to play some light music in the background just to lighten up the space if possible, but otherwise a great family dinner spot
