When I considered leaving a review, everyone at our table was nearly done with their meal. My husband and I have lived just across the street for the past two years and have often heard mixed opinions about this place. Today, we finally decided to give it a try, and the food is fantastic! Our family is visiting for a funeral, and they absolutely loved it too. It’s taking me a while to type this because I can't stop eating! I absolutely LOVE this place!
Mandarin House is not your typical takeout place—my dad would absolutely love the food here. After just one visit, it made me think of him. Definitely worth trying the honey sesame chicken; it's perfectly cooked with real chicken, not just a lot of batter, and the sauce is excellent. The Singapore noodles from their menu are also a standout. It's rare to find food this good around here.
I decided to give this restaurant a try after seeing its high rating on Google. I ordered the General Tso's chicken and the Chicken Fried Rice, but both dishes were quite basic and lacked flavor. Although the white meat seemed fresh and wasn’t overly breaded, it didn’t have much taste. It’s difficult to find good Chinese restaurants, and I'm still on the lookout for one.
Ordered carryout from Mandarin House and everything was excellent. The egg drop soup tasted fresh. We got the Dragon and Phoenix, which included a full container of General Tso's chicken, another full container of vegetables and shrimp, plus rice. Fannie delivered outstanding customer service for takeout and made some amazing recommendations! I typically go with my usual order, but she motivated me to try something different. Everything was, as always, delicious! This is undoubtedly the best Chinese food in the area!
